ब्राह्मण हिंदू समाज में एक वर्ण है। वेदिक और वेदिक के बाद के समय में, ब्राह्मण पंडित दर्ज के माने जाते है , जो पंडित और गुरु के तरह काम करते है

धर्म, संस्कृति, कला तथा शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में देश की आजादी और भारत राजनीति व इतिहास में इनका प्रशंशनीय योगदान भी रहा है।[1][2][3][4]


धर्मग्रंथों के अनुसार ब्राम्हण का मुख्य कार्य मंदिरों की देखभाल और खेती किसानी व जमींदारी करके जीवन यापन करते थे।[5]
