राजपूत वंशों एवं राज्यों की सूची
भारतीय इतिहास के मध्यकाल एवं उसके पश्चात अंग्रेजी उपनिवेश काल में राजपूतों के विभिन्न वंशों ने शासन किया। भारतीय इतिहास में 'राजपूत' उन अनेक शासकों को कहा गया है जिन्होने मुगलों से लोहा लिया। प्रमुख इतिहासकार गोरीशंकर ओझा ने राजपूतों की आपसी फुट को देखकर यह लिखा की राजपूत वे बहादुर योद्धा हैं जो आपस मे न लड़े तो पूरे विश्व को जीत सकते हैं। [1][2]
राजपूत राज्य एवं कबीले
नीचे भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप की कुछ राजपूत वंशों के नाम और उनका प्राप्ति-क्षेत्र दिया गया है।
- बुन्देलखण्ड के बुन्देला[5]
- कांगड़ा के कटोच : हिमाचल प्रदेश तथा पंजाब के बहुत बड़े भूभाग पर शासन किया[8]
- कन्नौज के परिहार, प्रतिहार[11] इन्होने ८१६ ई में कन्नौज पर अधिकार कर लिया जो अगले लगभग शताब्दी तक इनकी राजधानी रही। १०वीं शताब्दी में पतन। अलीपुर राज्य, कुम्हारसैन , नागौद रियासत और राजपुताना।
- उदयपुर राज्य, छत्तीसगढ़ तथा पलामू जिले के रक्सेल[13]
- बिहार के भोजपुर, डुमराव राज, जगदीश पुर राज के उज्जैनिया[18]
