नमस्कार,

आचार्य प्रशान्त पृष्ठ को न हटाने के विषय में "वार्ता कक्ष" में चर्चा चालू थी। उस चर्चा में विकिपीडिया के अनुभवी सदस्य जैसे रोहित साव, करम06 इत्यादि ने अपना मत इस पेज को रखे जाने के हित में दिया था। इनके अलावा 4 या 5 और अन्य हिंदी विकिपीडिया के सदस्य इसको रखने के हित में मत दे गए थे। चर्चा में तर्क एवम संख्या दोनों पेज को रखे जाने के पक्ष में थे। पृष्ठ को हटाना है, इसकी तो कोई भी सहमति नहीं बनी थी, बल्कि इसे रखना है इसकी सहमति बन गयी थी।

पृष्ठ में अनेक विश्वसनीय सन्दर्भ थे, ये बात *रोहित साव* जी ने चर्चा में मानी थी। साल भर पहले हुई चर्चा में पृष्ठ के विषय को उल्लेखनीय बोल कर पृष्ठ को कैप्टिण विराज द्वारा "रखा" गया था। तब से अब तक पेज में 12 उल्लेखनीय सन्दर्भ और जोड़े गए थे। नवभारत टाइम्स, अमर उजाला, The New Indian Express, दैनिक जागरण, दैनिक भास्कर, लोकमत, हिंदुस्तान, Times of India इत्यादि श्रेष्ठ समाचार पत्रों में आचार्य प्रशांत पर लिखे लेख पृष्ठ में जोड़े गए थे मेरे द्वारा। उल्लेखनीयता मुद्दा नहीं थी।

मतों में ये साफ था कि पृष्ठ का विषय उल्लेखनीय है और क्रॉस स्पैम अब बिल्कुल मान्य नहीं है। मैंने खुद पृष्ठ में 11 विश्वसनीय संदर्भ डाले थे और स्पैम संदर्भों को हटा दिया था। हिंदी मीडिया के सभी विश्वसनीय समाचार पत्रों से संधर्भ मौजूद थे लेख में।

लेख का वर्तमान संस्करण पूर्णतः साफ था। आचार्य प्रशांत उल्लेखनीय है कि नहीं इस पर चर्चा वैसे साल भर पहले हो चुकी थी और *कैप्टन विराज ने निर्णय लिया था कि लेख को रखा जाएगा* क्योंकि विषय उल्लेखनीय है। तब से अब तक आचार्य प्रशान्त की उल्लेखनीयत अनेक गुना बढ़ी ही है।

आपसे सविनय निवेदन है कि तर्क के आधार पर पेज को पुनर्जीवित करें, चर्चा कृपया पढ़ें। उसमें सब साफ साफ लिखा है। हमसे भूल ये हुई कि हमने ये चर्चा टैग के अंदर दिए बॉक्स में नहीं बल्कि वार्ता कक्ष में की। कृपया लेख को वापिस लाएं।

क्योंकि यह चर्चा "शीघ्र हटाने हेतु टैग" पर नहीं, अपितु "वार्ता कक्ष" में चल रही थी, मुझे लगता है कि जिन्होंने इसे मिटाया वो चर्चा देखने से चूक गए। अन्यथा इसे डिलीट करना किसी भी नीति या तर्क के आधार पर सही नहीं है। आचार्य प्रशांत लेख उल्लेखनीयता के मापदंड पर एकदम खरा उतर रहा था। साल भर से था। और एक बार पृष्ठ हटाने की चर्चा को जीत कर रखा जा चुका था।

आपसे विनती है कि आप चर्चा को देखें और पेज को पुनः जीवित करें। चर्चा को वार्ता कक्ष में मैंने नहीं, विकिपीडिया के अन्य अनुभवी सदस्य ने खोला था।

नमस्कार।

कई महीने बीतने के बाद मैंने प्रबंधकों के सुझाव अनुसार आचार्य प्रशांत पृष्ठ को पुनः बनाया। फ़रवरी के अंत में चली चर्चा में मुझे कहा गया था कि आप इस लेख को पुनः बना लें।

मैं अभी सक्रिय हुआ, और मैंने कुणाल कामरा, शेहला राशिद, उमर ख़ालिद इत्यादि पृष्ठ बना डाले। क्योंकि बनाना अच्छा लग रहा था। कई लेख सुधारे भी। मुझे आचार्य प्रशांत पृष्ठ भी बनाना ही था, तो मैंने वो भी बनाया।

इस बार लेख को एकदम सटीक रखा। कुछ भी प्रचार जैसा नहीं डाला और सिर्फ़ अति विश्वसनीय सन्दर्भ लगाए।

अब इस बार, इस लेख को शीघ्र हटाने को पुनः नामांकित कर दिया गया है। अब कारण: १. ल.२ साफ प्रचार २. क्रॉस विकी स्पैम एवं लेख का इतिहास।

कारण 1: इस लेख में "साफ प्रचार" नहीं है। मैं पूर्ण आत्मविश्वास के साथ यह बात कह रहा हूँ। इसमें विषय के तीन पुस्तकों की समीक्षा करते हुए तीन विश्वसनीय सन्दर्भ जोड़े हैं। और लेख में केवल आलोचनात्मक पंक्तियों को जोड़ा है।

कम लिखा है। और जितना लिखा है उसे विश्वसनीय सन्दर्भों के साथ स्थापित किया है।

ल.२ मापदण्ड कैसे इस लेख पर लागू हो रहा है कृपया मुझे समझाएं। "साफ प्रचार" मापदण्ड इस लेख ओर लागू हो ही नहीं सकता।

मैंने इस उत्साह से काम शुरू किया था कि इस बार लग के लेख बनाऊंगा। मैंने बीबीसी, तन्मय भट्ट जैसे कई लेख जिनमें काम बहुत कम हुआ था, उन्हें बढ़ाया। एक सूची भी अपने प्रोफाइल पर डाली थी। परंतु यह नामांकन देखकर आहत हूँ।

कारण 2: लेख का इतिहास। लेख 4 महीने पहले क्रॉस विकी स्पैम के कारण डिलीट किया गया था। इतने महीने बीत जाने के बाद, लेख पूरा बदल चुका है।

अगर वही कारण देकर इसे पुनः डिलीट करना था तो मुझे इसे बनाने के लिए क्यों कहा गया था। अगर इसे इसके इतिहास के कारण वर्तमान में भी डिलीट किया जाना था तो वीकीपिडिया ने मुझे इसे बनाने ही क्यों दिया।

अगर लेख ज्ञानकोश के अनुरूप हो और विषय उल्लेखनीय हो तब तो हम लेख बना सकते हैं। वही मैंने किया।

आप सभी प्रबन्धक हैं। अगर आप नए एडिटर्स को गुड फेथ में नहीं लेंगे तो हममें उत्साह कैसे आएगा?

यह नामांकन ठीक नहीं है।

नमस्कार। मैंने पिछले कुछ दिनों में अँग्रेजी एवं हिंदी - दोनों विकिपीडिया पर नीतियों को पढा। _स्पीडी डिलिशन_ यानि शीघ्र हटाने के लिए नामांकन के नियम उदाहरण सहित देखे।

मेरा निष्कर्ष:

यह लेख जिस मापदण्ड के अंतर्गत नामांकित है वह वैध नहीं है। वह मापदण्ड इस लेख पर लागू ही नहीं होता।

यह लेख "साफ़ प्रचार" नहीं है। और इस लेख में मौजूद सभी लिंक्स विश्वनीय एवं सर्वोच्च अखबारों से हैं, जिनमें पत्रकारों ने अपने नाम बताए हुए हैं।

न ही 'ल.२ साफ प्रचार मापदण्ड' लागू हो रहा है और न ही 'क्रॉस विकी स्पैम।' नामांकन वापिस लिया जाए।

जिन दोनों ही मापदंडों पर इस लेख को नामांकित किया गया है वह वैध नहीं है - न ही "साफ प्रचार" और न ही "क्रॉस विकी स्पैम"।

लेख में या तो ज्ञानकोशीय जानकारी है, जो विश्वसनीय सन्दर्भों के साथ बताई गई है, या फ़िर दैनिक जागरण, डेली पायनियर और न्यूज़ नेशन में छपी विषय की तीन पुस्तकों की समीक्षा है, जिसमें से सिर्फ़ आलोचना की पंक्तियां लेख में डाली गईं हैं।

"साफ प्रचार" नहीं है।

और "लेख.2 साफ प्रचार" मापदण्ड केवल उन लेखों पर लगेगा जो "पूर्णतया या केवल प्रचार" हों, और जिन्हें ज्ञानकोश के अनुरूप बनाने के लिए मूलतः बदलना पड़े। यह नियम कहता है कि अगर विषय उल्लेखनीय है और लेख को बदल कर ठीक किया जा सकता है, तो हटाने की बजाए, ऐसा किया जाना चाहिए।

अगर लेख में प्रचार दिख रहा है तो बताएं कि कहां है प्रचार, और लेख में सुधार कर दें। एक उल्लेखनीय विषय के लेख को ऐसे डिलीट करके शीर्षक पूर्णसुरक्षित करने की मांग करना अति कठोर एवं अवैध कदम है।

जहां तक बात लेख के इतिहास की है। इसका सबसे पहले 2018 में हटाया गया था। तब विषय उल्लेखनीय नहीं थे, अब हैं। इसके बाद लेख कई महीनों तक विकिपीडिया पर रहा, और फिर क्रॉस विकी स्पैम कहकर हटाया गया। क्रॉस विकी स्पैम जिन कारणों से कहा गया था, वह कारण अब लेख के वर्तमान संस्करण में मौजूद ही नहीं हैं। तब हम इस इतिहास को क्यों उध्दृत कर रहे हैं। और अगर हम यह कह रहे हैं कि लेख 2018 में मिटाया गया, तो हम ये भी देखें कि लेख लगभग साल भर विकिपीडिया पर था भी।

[Wikimedia Foundation elections 2021] Candidates meet with South Asia + ESEAP communities

Hello,

As you may already know, the 2021 Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees elections are from 4 August 2021 to 17 August 2021. Members of the Wikimedia community have the opportunity to elect four candidates to a three-year term. After a three-week-long Call for Candidates, there are 20 candidates for the 2021 election.

An event for community members to know and interact with the candidates is being organized. During the event, the candidates will briefly introduce themselves and then answer questions from community members. The event details are as follows:

विकिपीडिया एशियाई माह २०२१ के मूल्यांकन को लेकर अनुरोध

@हिंदुस्थान वासी @Innocentbunny नमस्कार, विकिपीडिया एशियाई माह 2021 के अंतर्गत जमा किये गए इन निम्नलिखित लेखों में त्रुटियाँ हैं जो प्रतियोगिता के नियमों का उल्लंघन करती हैं, परन्तु फिर भी इन्हें अंक दिए गए हैं।

१. लेख "चो दा लाट", "चोंगरूँगसा बौद्ध मंदिर", "हमामात्सु वाद्ययंत्र संग्रहालय", "रूख ओर्डो" - ये सभी लेख अन्य भाषा के लेखों के अनुवाद से जल्दबाज़ी में बनाये गए हैं और इनमे मशीनी भाषा का भर भर के उपयोग किया गया है। आलम ये है की बहुत सारे वाक्य व्याकरणिक रूप से गलत हैं और कुछ तो समझने योग्य भी नहीं हैं। साथ ही इनके सन्दर्भ में भी त्रुटियां हैं।

२. "सूंजा चोई" - प्रतियोगिता के नियमों के अनुसार केवल १ से ३० नवंबर तक किये जाने वाले संपादन ही मान्य होंगे। "सूंजा चोई" को ३० नवंबर के बाद भी कई बार सम्पादित किया गया है। परन्तु ३० नवंबर वाले अवतरण में मशीनी भाषा का भर भर के उपयोग है, इतना की वो लेख समझने योग्य ही नहीं है।

३. "आइको किताहारा" - इस लेख के सभी सन्दर्भों में त्रुटियां हैं और इस कारण वश इसमें कोई भी उचित संदर्भ नहीं है। यह प्रतियोगिता के नियम (४) का सीधा उल्लंघन है जिसके अनुसार लेख में उचित सन्दर्भ होने अनिवार्य हैं।

मान्यवर, मेरा आपसे सविनय निवेदन है कि आप इन लेखों का पुनः आंकलन करें और इन्हें दिए गए अंकों को रद्द करें। अन्यथा ये प्रतियोगिता के नियमों और उसकी सद्भावना को गहरा आघात करेगा और बाकी प्रतियोगियों के मनोबल पे दुष्प्रभाव डालेगा। धन्यवाद --Wikipedsaur (वार्ता) 9:44, 6 दिसंबर 2021 (UTC)

मै आपकी आपत्ति का निवारण करता हूँ-

१. सिर्फ एक व्यक्ति द्वारा बनाया गया कोई भी लेख १००% त्रुटिहीन नहीं हो सकता। इसी लिए विकिपिडिया पर हर किसी को लेख में सुधार करने की छूट है। मैंने गलतियाँ ठीक करने का पूरा प्रयास किया, फिर भी जो गलतियाँ मै नहीं देख पाया, उन्हे देखने के बाद भी आपने उन्हे ठीक नहीं किया, क्या यही एक जिम्मेदार विकिपिडियन को करना चाहिए?

२. मशीनी भाषा का प्रयोग उसे कहते है जब किसी विशेष संज्ञा को भी उसके शाब्दिक अर्थ में बदल दिया जाए। मैंने अपनी तरफ से अपने हर लेख में इस प्रकार की गलती को दूर करने का प्रयास किया है, उदाहरण-

"हमामात्सु वाद्ययंत्र संग्रहालय" को ही ले लीजिए, इसमे अंग्रेजी शब्द "organ" का मशीनी अनुवाद तों "अंग" होता है, पर चूंकि यह पर इसी नाम का एक वाद्य यंत्र के लिए प्रयोग है, मैंने हर जगह अंग को ऑर्गन से बदला।

३. "आइको किताहारा" - इस लेख में जिसे आप संदर्भ त्रुटि बता रहे है वो असल में विकिटेक्स्ट की त्रुटि है, जो यथादृश्य संपादिका में दिखाई नहीं देती, और जिसे ठीक करने के लिए आपको विकिटेक्स्ट सीखना पड़ेगा। परंतु इससे संदर्भ के links को खोलने में कोई परेशानी नहीं है। इसलिए संदर्भ पूर्णतः उचित हैं।

४. रही बात आपकी आपत्ति की, आप दूसरे स्थान पर है, तो इस प्रतियोगिता का आयोजक न होते हुए भी प्रथम स्थान वाले के लेखों में प्रतियोगिता की सद्भावना का हवाला देकर आपत्ति जताना आपका निजी स्वार्थ नहीं है, इस पर मुझे संदेह है। आपके काम की मै सराहना करता हूँ, पर उसकी आड़ में आप किसी दूसरे की मेहनत को कुछ न समझे, विकि समुदाय का हिस्सा होते हुए भी गलतियाँ देखकर उन्हे ठीक न करे, क्या यह सद्भावना है?

किसी भी प्रतियोगिता में फैसला लेने का हक प्रतिभागी का नहीं होता, इसलिए मुझे आपका जवाब देने की जरूरत नहीं थी। परंतु जिस कार्य के लिए मैंने मेहनत की, उस पर उठे सवालों का जवाब देने के लिए मै प्रतीबद्ध हूँ।

@Wikipedsaur जी, आपकी बात मैंने सुन ली है। यहीं कहूंगा ऐसे कमियाँ निकाल के कई लेख प्रतियोगिता से बाहर किये जा सकते हैं। सूंजा चोई लेख को मैंने देखा और जिन संपादन की बात हो रही है वह पाठ में कोई बदलाव नहीं किये है। टूल UTC पे चलता है इसलिए वह भारतीय समयनुसार 30 तारीख के बाद भी कुछ देर के लिए लेख स्वीकार करता है। यह लाभ / नुकसान सबके लिए है। आपके दोनों ईमेल मुझे प्राप्त हुए हैं।

June Month Celebration 2022 edit-a-thon

Dear User,

CIS-A2K is announcing June month mini edit-a-thon which is going to take place on 25 & 26 June 2022 (on this weekend). The motive of conducting this edit-a-thon is to celebrate June Month which is also known as pride month.

This time we will celebrate the month, which is full of notable days, by creating & developing articles on local Wikimedia projects, such as proofreading the content on Wikisource if there are any, items that need to be created on Wikidata [edit Labels & Descriptions], some June month related content must be uploaded on Wikimedia Commons and so on. It will be a two-days long edit-a-thon to increase content about the month of June or related to its days, directly or indirectly. Anyone can participate in this event and the link you can find here. Hope you are all doing well! Now is the time to sign up for Wikipedia Asian Month 2022, which will take place in this November.

For organizers:

Here are the basic guidance and regulations for organizers. Please remember to:

1. use Wikipedia Asian Month 2022 Programs & Events Dashboard. , or else you and your participants’ will not be able to receive the prize from WAM team.
2. Add your language projects and organizer list to the meta page 1 week before your campaign start date.
3. Inform your community members WAM 2022 is coming!!!
4. If you want WAM team to share your event information on Facebook / twitter, or you want to share your WAM experience/ achievements on our blog, feel free to send an email to info@asianmonth.wiki.

If you want to hold a thematic event that is related to WAM, a.k.a. WAM sub-contest. The process is the same as the language one.

1. Based on the COVID-19 pandemic situation in different region, this year we still suggest all the Edit-a-thons are online, but you are more then welcome to organize local offline events.
2. The international postal systems are not stable, WAM team have decided to send all the qualified participants/ organizers a digital Barnstars.

WikiConference India 2023: Program submissions and Scholarships form are now open

We are really glad to inform you that WikiConference India 2023 has been successfully funded and it will take place from 3 to 5 March 2023. The theme of the conference will be Strengthening the Bonds.

We also have exciting updates about the Program and Scholarships.

WikiConference India 2023: Open Community Call and Extension of program and scholarship submissions deadline

Dear Wikimedian,

Thank you for supporting Wiki Conference India 2023. We are humbled by the number of applications we have received and hope to learn more about the work that you all have been doing to take the movement forward. In order to offer flexibility, we have recently extended our deadline for the Program and Scholarships submission- you can find all the details on our Meta Page.

COT is working hard to ensure we bring together a conference that is truly meaningful and impactful for our movement and one that brings us all together. With an intent to be inclusive and transparent in our process, we are committed to organizing community sessions at regular intervals for sharing updates and to offer an opportunity to the community for engagement and review. Following the same, we are hosting the first Open Community Call on the 3rd of December, 2022. We wish to use this space to discuss the progress and answer any questions, concerns or clarifications, about the conference and the Program/Scholarships.

Invitation to organize Feminism and Folklore 2023

Christmas Greetings and a Happy New Year 2023,

You are humbly invited to organize the Feminism and Folklore 2023 writing competition from February 1, 2023, to March 31, 2023. This year, Feminism and Folklore will focus on feminism, women's issues, and gender-focused topics for the project, with a Wiki Loves Folklore gender gap focus and a folk culture theme on Wikipedia.

You can help Wikipedia's coverage of folklore from your area by writing or improving articles about things like folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, women and queer folklore figures, folk game athletes, women in mythology, women warriors in folklore, witches and witch hunting, fairy tales, and more. Users can help create new articles, expand or translate from a list of suggested articles.

Organisers are requested to work on the following action items to sign up their communities for the project:

1. Create a page for the contest on the local wiki.
2. Set up a fountain tool or dashboard.
3. Create the local list and mention the timeline and local and international prizes.
4. Request local admins for site notice.
5. Link the local page and the fountain/dashboard link on the meta project page.

This year we would be supporting the community's financial aid for Internet and childcare support. This would be provided for the local team including their jury and coordinator team. This support is opt-in and non mandatory. Kindly fill in this Google form and mark a mail to support@wikilovesfolklore.org with the subject line starting as [Stipend] Name or Username/Language. The last date to sign up for internet and childcare aid from our team is 20th of January 2023, We encourage the language coordinators to sign up their community on this link by the 25th of January 2023.
