किसी फलन का निश्चित समाकल (definite integral) उस फलन के ग्राफ से घिरे क्षेत्र का चिह्नसहित क्षेत्रफल द्वारा निरूपित किया जा सकता है। ढाका

समाकलन (Integral Calculus) यह एक विशेष प्रकार की योग क्रिया है जिसमें अत्यणु (infinitesimal) मान वाली किन्तु गिनती में अत्यधिक चर राशियों को को जोड़ा जाता है। इसका एक प्रमुख उपयोग वक्राकार क्षेत्रों का क्षेत्रफल निकालने में होता है। समाकलन को अवकलन की व्युत्क्रम संक्रिया की तरह भी समझा जा सकता है।

$\int\limits_E f(x) dx$ – लेबेग समाकल (Lebesgue integral )

$\iint\limits_{S}f(x, y, z)\;dS$ – पृष्ठ समाकल (surface integral)

$\oint\limits_{S}f(x,y)\;dl$ – किसी बन्द वक्र के सापेक्ष वक्ररेखी समाकल
