पश्चिम बंगाल फुटबॉल टीम (बांग्ला: পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ফুটবল দল ) प्रायोजन के कारण वर्तमान में डीटीडीसी बंगाल के रूप में जाना जाता है, एक भारतीय फुटबॉल टीम है जो संतोष ट्रॉफी सहित भारतीय राज्य फुटबॉल प्रतियोगिताओं में पश्चिम बंगाल का प्रतिनिधित्व करती है। [1] वे 1969 में मैसूर के बाद 1970 के संस्करण में खेलकर महाद्वीपीय शीर्ष स्तरीय टूर्नामेंट - एशियन चैंपियन क्लब टूर्नामेंट में भाग लेने वाली दूसरी भारतीय टीम थीं। [2]इंडियन फुटबॉल एसोसिएशन (आईएफए) की स्थापना 1893 में बंगाल में हुई थी।

बंगाल ने 1941-42 की संतोष ट्रॉफी में राष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं में अपनी शुरुआत की। पश्चिम बंगाल 45 बार संतोष ट्रॉफी के फाइनल में पहुंचा है, 32 खिताब जीते हैं, [3] किसी भी टीम द्वारा सबसे अधिक है। बालादास चटर्जी द्वारा प्रबंधित, टीम ने 1949 और 1959 के बीच छह संतोष ट्रॉफी खिताब जीते [4] 1962 में, पूर्व भारतीय कप्तान समर बनर्जी ने बंगाल को ट्रॉफी जिताने में मदद की। [5]
