सबसे महानतम भारतीय (अंग्रेजी:The Greatest Indian) एक सर्वेक्षण रिलायंस मोबाइल द्वारा प्रायोजित है और सीएनएन आईबीएन और हिस्ट्री चैनल के साथ साझेदारी में, आउटलुक पत्रिका द्वारा आयोजित किया गया था। आधुनिक भारत के क्षेत्रों में महत्त्वपुर्ण योगदान और भारतीयों के जीवन में अद्वितीय असाधारन बदलाव लाने वाला महान शख्सियत खोजने के लिए भारत में दि ग्रेटेस्ट इंडियन या सबसे महानतम भारतीय इस शो का जनमत सर्वेक्षण अगस्त 2012 जून से आयोजित किया गया था, इसके विजेता, बाबासाहेब डॉ॰ भीमराव आंबेडकर हैं, 11 अगस्त की घोषणा की, सर्वेक्षण में जब तक 15 अगस्त से 4 जून तक प्रसारित से जुड़े एक कार्यक्रम।[1]
इस सर्वेक्षण में पहले भारत की 100 महान हस्तियों में से ओटिंग के जरीये 50 महान भारतीयों को चूना गया। बाद में फिर इनमें से पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू से ए.पी.जे. अब्दुल कलाम तक के 10 नाम रखे गये और फिर सभी नागरिकों द्वारा की गई अंतरराष्ट्रीय ऑनलाईन वोटिंग ओपन की गई, इसमें सर्वाधिक वोट या मतदान डॉ॰ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर को मिले, वे दस में नंबर वन पर ही चुने गयें। भारत की स्वतंत्रता के बाद सबसे महानतम भारतीय डॉ॰ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर हैं। वे स्वतंत्र्यता पूर्व के भी सबसे महानतम भारतीय है।

नामांकन और मतदान प्रक्रिया
