कशेरुकी जीवों में दृष्टि पटल, आंख के अंदर एक प्रकाश-संवेदी ऊतक पर्त को कहते हैं। आंख की प्रणाली एक लेंस की सहायता से इस पटल पर सामने का दृष्य प्रकाश रूप में उतारती है और ये पटल लगभग एक फिल्म कैमरा की भांति उसे रासायनिक एवं विद्युत अभिक्रियाओं की एक श्रेणी के द्वारा तंत्रिकाओं को भेज देता है। ये मस्तिष्क के दृष्टि केन्द्रों को दृष्टि तंत्रिकाओं द्वाआ भेज दिये जाते हैं।
