Usage

This template transcludes the {{getalias}} template to convert ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 country codes to wikilinked country names.

For example,

{{Countryname|USA}}

gives

संयुक्त राज्य

If the input parameter is not a valid country code or name, it checks the input parameter for a corresponding article, and links to it if one exists.

For example,

{{Countryname|Test}}

gives

Test

It does nothing if the input parameter is a wikilink.

For example,

{{Countryname|[[United States of America]]}}

gives

United States of America

It is intended for use as a metatemplate substitute for {{Flagcountry}} in cases where use of flag icons are inappropriate, but multiple forms of parameters have been used.
