A template for citing content posted on Instagram.

Usage

Copy a blank version to use. All parameter names must be in lowercase. Use the "|" (pipe) character between each parameter. Delete unused parameters to avoid clutter in the edit window. Some samples may include the current date. If the date is not current, then purge

. the page.

Error detection

• The parameters |user=, |postid=, |title=, |date= are required. If omitted or left blank, errors will be reported. For example:

  {{Cite instagram |title=I'm an incomplete citation!}}

  @. "I'm an incomplete citation!" – वाया Instagram.

• The post URL depends on |postid=; if it is missing, the URL defaults to https://www.instagram.com/
• Templates are checked for |ref=harv, which is an error. The |ref= parameter must use {{harvid}} in the value.
• The template also checks for parameters that are unsupported (e.g. misspellings of parameter names).
