First Hindi Wiki Workshop[संपादित करें]

Hindi WIki organized its first advocacy program with the help of Shijualex and Ravikant, About 40 particpiants participated from all around India.This event was orgainsed by Hindi WIkipedian User:Mayur and Malayalam Wikipedian user:shijualex.In this event General Intruduction of Hindi WIkimedia projects was given.APart from this Wikipedia Editing workshop was also conducted.

About Wikipedia[संपादित करें]

Hindi Wikipedia is the hindi version of Wikipedia.It was started on july 2003.Till 17 May 2011, it have 96,800 articles and 45,000 Active users.On the basis of No. of articles, Active users, No. of Users and No. of Edits in all spaces, Hindi Wikipedia is the biggest version among Indic Wikipedia Projects.

Achievements[संपादित करें]

  1. With around 96,800 articles Hindi wiki is on the first rank among Indian languagges and 39th rank among all existing Languagges of wikipedia.
  2. With Around 21,628 Admin Activities Hindi Wikipedia is on 2nd rank by No. of admin Actions.One of the Hindi Wiki Admin with his 18,806 Admin Actions is on the first rank among Indic Wiki Admins. According to http://toolserver.org/~vvv/adminstats.php?wiki=hiwiki_p&tlimit=none and list genreated for all Indic wikipedia, In this Survey regarding Admin Activities four hindi wiki admins Mayur, Ashish bhatnagar, purnima varman and munita prasad were among top 50 Indic Admins out of nearly 105 indic Wiki admins.
  3. With Around 11,71,399 edits, Hindi Wiki is the only and first Indic Langguage Wikipedia to cross 1.1 million edits Milestone.
  4. Hindi Wiki have around 250 active users which are one of the higgest No. among Indic Wikipedias.
  5. With about 50 million page veiws in a month Hindi Wikipedia is top among Indic Wikipedias by no. of page veiws.

About Wikisource[संपादित करें]

This project has not started due to less active community

About Wikiquotes[संपादित करें]

This project have only 3 Active user and only 101 quotes.A good Participation of Active users is required there.

About Wiktionary[संपादित करें]

Hindi Wiktionary has a lack of Active users and Editing Gadgets w.r.t Hindi Wikipedia.By 17 May it has

  1. 4,669 Entries
  2. It is on the 5th spot among Indic Witionaries and 67th spot Overall.

About Wikibooks[संपादित करें]

This project is also lacking in no. of Active users, By present it has only 82 Entries.
