User:نعم البدل, here, on English Wikipedia, and on Wiktionary, has been attempting to change the proper spelling and pronunciation of the name of the city क़ादियाँ to कादियां (without the nuqta). The title of the article क़ादियाँ is reflected even in the Romanized spelling of the city Qadian. I am pinging editors सदस्य:Hunnjazal and सदस्य:Salma Mahmoud, who edited this article before and are familiar with the proper Hindi spelling of the city. @Anupam: ये मजाल? जैसा कि मैंने आप को बताया कि Qadian शहर के signboards पे ख़ुद 'कादियां' लिखा जाता है। कादियां की तस्वीरें भी अगर आप खोजें तो आप को शायद अंदाज़ा हो जाये। और इस के साथ साथ मैंने आप को अच्छे-ख़ासे references भी दिये हैं English Wiki पे। बाक़ी सदस्यों की लिए reference: [1], [2] and [3]. نعم البدل (वार्ता) 05:08, 3 जनवरी 2023 (UTC)

मुझे स्मरण करा गया, तो मेरा मत है कि जैसा है, वैसा रहने दिया जाए। सही वर्तनी नुक़्ते के साथ है, लेकिन आधुनिक हिन्दी लेखन में इसे अक्सर उड़ा दिया जाता है। ज़िला → जिला, फ़रवरी → फरवरी। यह उसी तरह है जैसे उर्दु लेखनी में अक्सर ज़ेर, ज़बर, पेश, तश्दीद उड़ा दिए जाते हैं। लेकिन अगर कहीं اُردو लिखा हो तो हम उसे ज़बरदस्ती اردو नहीं कर देंगे। इसी तरह ق को क़ लिखा हो तो क में नहीं बदलना चाहिए। लेकिन यह केवल एक सदस्य का मत है और इसपर तर्क व परिवर्तन के द्वार खुले हैं। हाँ, विकिपीडिया पर लाखों लेख बनाने वाले हैं और हमें वि:युद्धक्षेत्रनहीं नीति को ध्यान में रखना चाहिए। आपसी सामंजस्य के लिए क्या आप समझाएँगे कि आपके लिए इसी एक लेख में बदलाव करने की तत्परता का कारण क्या है? सम्भव है कि इसपर प्रकाश डालने से मेरा और अनुपम जी का मत बदल जाए। धन्यवाद। --Hunnjazal (वार्ता) 08:11, 4 जनवरी 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for your comment सदस्य:Hunnjazal. I am in complete agreement with you. On English Wikipedia, I have offered a multitude of various sources that use the spellings with nuqtas: क़ादियाँ, क़ादियान, and क़ादियां. With respect to the latter, I provided the following: Exhibit A, Exhibit B, Exhibit C, and Exhibit D. There, सदस्य:نعم البدل reached a consensus between क़ादियां or क़ादियान and he expressed a preference for the former. I would be fine with any of these three as long as the nuqta is preserved; I would have no objection if सदस्य:نعم البدل moved the article to क़ादियां, as long as सदस्य:Hunnjazal is okay with that too. @Hunnjazal: मेरी बस ये राय रही है कि जिस तरह एक नाम या शब्द बोला जाये, या जिस तरह से उसे ज़्यादा लिखा जाता है, तो उसे वैसे ही उपस्थित रखना चाहिये। मैं केवल अपनी तरफ़ से इस लेख को सही कर रहा था, मगर अनुपम के साथ बहस शुरू हो गई। نعم البدل (वार्ता) 15:59, 4 जनवरी 2023 (UTC)
