Woman Jumps 8 Floors and Lives. Chicago, Illinois; August 11, 1930. Mrs. Marion Webb Lewis, 35 of Los Angeles, who suffered fractures of both legs and several ribs when she jumped from the eighth floor of the Park-Edgewater apartment hotel on the northside early today, was still alive this afternoon, but in a critical condition. She was despondent over separation from her husband, Fred Lewis, whom she left in Los Angeles when she came here to visit distant relatives, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Hayes, at the hotel.
