English: The French settlement of Mahé on the Malabar coast of India. Map drawn in 1726 soon after the town was recaptured from the Indian raja who, after having ceded it to the French East India Company in 1721 had taken it back by force it 1725 under the urging of the British established nearby.
Français : Plan du comptoir de Mahé du Malabar dressé en 1726 peu après la capture du lieu par des troupes françaises. La Compagnie des Indes orientales s'était fait céder Mahé par le raja local en 1721 mais, sous l'incitation des Anglais établis dans la région, le raja avait repris l'endroit par la force en 1725. |
