आयनकारी विकिरण (Ionizing radiation) उन कणों या विद्युतचुम्बकीय तरंगों को कहते हैं जिनमें इतनी उर्जा होती है कि वे जिन परमाणुओं या अणुओं से टकराते हैं उनसे एलेक्ट्रॉन निकालकर उन्हें आयनित कर देते हैं। इस प्रकार मुक्त रेडिकल (free radicals) बनते हैं जो रासायनिक क्रिया की दृष्टि से विशेष रूप से दक्ष होते हैं। इनका स्वास्थ्य पर अत्यन्त भयानक प्रभाव हो सकता है। कुछ स्थितियों में ये लाभकारी भी होते हैं।
