इब्राहीम (उस्मानी तुर्कीयाई: ابراهيم, तुर्कीयाई: İbrahim; 5 नवम्बर 1615 – 18 अगस्त 1648) 1640 से 1648 तक उस्मानी साम्राज्य के सुल्तान रहे। उनका जन्म क़ुस्तंतुनिया में हुआ था। उनके पिता अहमद प्रथम थे और उनकी माँ नस्लन यूनानी कौसम सुल्तान थीं, जिनका मूल नाम आनास्तासिया था।[1][2][3] उनकी ख़राब दिमाग़ी हालत की वजह से बीसवीं सदी के इतिहासकारों ने उनका नाम पागल इब्राहीम रखा।[4]



प्रारंभिक जीवन

इब्राहिम का जन्म 5 नवंबर 1615 को सुल्तान अहमद प्रथम के पुत्र और उनकी पसंदीदा उपपत्नी के रूप में हुआ था, जो बाद में उनकी कानूनी पत्नी कोसेम सुल्तान बन गईं।  जब इब्राहिम 2 वर्ष का था, उसके पिता की अचानक मृत्यु हो गई, और इब्राहिम के चाचा मुस्तफा प्रथम नया सुल्तान बन गया।  उस समय तक, कोसेम सुल्तान और उसके बच्चों, जिनमें युवा इब्राहिम भी शामिल थे, को पुराने महल में भेज दिया गया था।  अपने भाई मुराद चतुर्थ के उत्तराधिकार के बाद, इब्राहिम को कैफे में ही सीमित कर दिया गया, जिससे उसका स्वास्थ्य प्रभावित हुआ।  इब्राहिम के अन्य भाइयों सेहज़ादे बायज़िद, सहज़ादे सुलेमान और सहज़ादे कासिम को सुल्तान मुराद चतुर्थ के आदेश से मार डाला गया था, और इस वजह से इब्राहिम को डर था कि वह पंक्ति में अगला है।  हालांकि, अपने भाई की मृत्यु के बाद, इब्राहिम तुर्क साम्राज्य का सुल्तान बन गया।
