स्वागत!
Abhinav619 जी इस समय आप विकिमीडिया फाउण्डेशन की परियोजना हिन्दी विकिपीडिया पर हैं। हिन्दी विकिपीडिया एक मुक्त ज्ञानकोष है, जो ज्ञान को बाँटने एवं उसका प्रसार करने में विश्वास रखने वाले दुनिया भर के योगदानकर्ताओं द्वारा लिखा जाता है। इस समय इस परियोजना में 8,10,355 पंजीकृत सदस्य हैं। हमें खुशी है कि आप भी इनमें से एक हैं। विकिपीडिया से सम्बन्धित कई प्रश्नों के उत्तर आप को अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले प्रश्नों में मिल जायेंगे। हमें आशा है आप इस परियोजना में नियमित रूप से शामिल होकर हिन्दी भाषा में ज्ञान को संरक्षित करने में सहायक होंगें। धन्यवाद।
विकिनीतियाँ, नियम एवं सावधानियाँ

विकिपीडिया के सारे नीति-नियमों का सार इसके पाँच स्तंभों में है। इसके अलावा कुछ मुख्य ध्यान रखने हेतु बिन्दु निम्नलिखित हैं:

  • अपने बारे में लेख मत बनाएँ। अपने बारे में कुछ सीमित जानकारी आप अपने सदस्य पृष्ठ पर दे सकते हैं। अपने सदस्य पृष्ठ पर आप अपना चित्र भी लगा सकते हैं।
  • किसी भी पृष्ठ पर मनमाने ढंग से कोई सामग्री या अपने जालस्थल का लिंक न डालें। लेखों पर किसी तरह का प्रयोग न करें। किसी भी तरह का परीक्षण कृपया अपने प्रयोगपृष्ठ पर करें। वहाँ आप परीक्षण करने के लिये स्वतन्त्र है।
  • यदि आप किसी चित्र/संचिका को अपलोड करते हैं, तो उसका लाइसेंस विकल्प ज़रूर दें। मुक्त लाइसेंस के अभाव में वह चित्र विकिपीडिया से हटा दिया जाता है। अंतर्जाल पर उपलब्ध चित्रों को यहाँ तब तक मत चढ़ाएँ, जब तक उसका मुक्त रहना सुनिश्चित न हो या उसके स्वामी से इसकी लिखित अनुमति न ले लें। यदि आपको किसी चित्र की आवश्यकता है तो इसे विकिमीडिया कॉमन्स में खोजें एवं उस चित्र को उसी नाम से बिना यहाँ अपलोड किये हिन्दी विकिपीडिया के किसी भी लेख में प्रयोग कर सकते हैं। विकिमीडीया कॉमन्स में 1 करोड़ से भी अधिक मीडिया उपलब्ध हैं। इसके अलावा आप अंग्रेज़ी विकिपीडिया से भी कोई भी चित्र हिन्दी विकिपीडिया में अपलोड कर सकते हैं। ऐसा करते समय लाइसेन्स विकल्प वही चुनें जो अंग्रेज़ी विकिपीडिया पर दिया हो।
  • सम्पादन या किसी सदस्य से वार्ता करते समय अपनी भाषा शिष्ट बनाए रखें। इस ज्ञानवर्धक परियोजना में सक्रिय सदस्य अपना बहुमूल्य समय लगा रहे हैं जिसके लिये समस्त पाठक इस परियोजना के सभी रचनात्मक योगदानकर्ताओं के ऋणी हैं।
  • चौपाल अथवा लेखों या सदस्यों के वार्ता पृष्ठों पर सन्देश लिखने के बाद अपना हस्ताक्षर अवश्य करें। इसके लिए अपने सन्देश की समाप्ति पर --~~~~ लिख दें अथवा सम्पादन उपकरणों में उपलब्ध बटन दबाएँ।
विकिपीडिया में कैसे योगदान करें?

विकिपीडिया में योगदान देने के कई तरीके हैं। आप किसी भी विषय पर लेख बनाना शुरू कर सकते हैं। यदि उस विषय पर पहले से लेख बना हुआ है, तो आप उस में कुछ और जानकारी जोड़ सकते हैं। आप पूर्व बने हुए लेखों की भाषा सुधार सकते हैं। आप उसके प्रस्तुतीकरण को अधिक स्पष्ट और ज्ञानकोश के अनुरूप बना सकते हैं। आप उसमें साँचे, संदर्भ, श्रेणियाँ, चित्र आदि जोड़ सकते हैं। योगदान से संबंधित कुछ महत्वपूर्ण कड़ियाँ निम्नलिखित हैं:

 यदि आप विकिपीडीया पर सम्पादन करना नहीं जानते हैं तो सबसे पहले विकिशिक्षा लेख देखें। इसके बाद अपने मनपसन्द विषय पर या किसी अनुरोधित विषय पर नया लेख लिखें
 पहले से बने हुए लेखों को सुधारें (मदद के लिए "विकिपीडिया:लेख को कैसे बदलें?" देखें)
 विकिपीडिया का रखरखाव करने में सहायता करें
 विकिपीडिया के लेखों का आकलन करने में सहायता करें
 देवनागरी में कैसे टाइप करें? (How to view and input Hindi text?)
 विकिपीडिया:प्रयोगस्थल: विकिपीडिया संपादन से परिचित होने के लिए निःसंकोच प्रयोग करें।
 आप ऐसे लेख मत बनाइये
 लेख का नाम कैसे रखें
 अपनी वरीयताओं में जा कर अपने लिये उपयुक्त गैजेट एवं विभिन्न विकल्प चुनें।

Wikimedians for Sustainable Development - December 2023 Newsletter[संपादित करें]

This is our twenty-seventh newsletter, a sort of year-in-review for 2023.

Dear Wikimedians for Sustainable Development,

As we bid farewell to 2023, we reflect on a year that has been an uneven year for our user group. While the journey has been marked by some truly inspiring events, most of our efforts have been largely uncoordinated and the user group hasn't been the support it could have been. Yet, there's a glimmer of hope and a world of potential for 2024.

Highlights of 2023:

Newsletters Galore
We kicked off the year with zeal, sharing updates and inspiration through four newsletters. The number of things happening in the movement is astounding, but we need to rethink the format of the newsletter going into the next year.
Growing Strong
The Wikimedians for Sustainable Development family welcomed 33 new members in 2023. Your passion and dedication continue to inspire us, and we look forward to nurturing this community spirit in the year ahead.
Wikimania Talks
Our voices echoed far and wide at Wikimania, where several members of our community took the virtual stage to share insights and ideas about everything from Wikipedians-in-Residence's to open data. Your contributions showcased our commitment to sustainable development on a global scale.
Content Creation Magic
Throughout the year, our extended community demonstrated incredible dedication to expanding the knowledge base on Wikipedia. Countless hours were spent creating and curating content that aligns with our mission, contributing to a more sustainable digital ecosystem.
Campaigning hard
We saw a large variety of campaigns, from writing challenges to editathons. The willingness to experiment with new formats and partners, as well as learning from past efforts, shows great promise for the future.

Acknowledging Challenges:

While we celebrate these achievements, we acknowledge that 2023 presented its fair share of challenges. A lack of global coordination reminded us that the road to sustainable development is not always linear. However, it is precisely these challenges that fuel our determination to work together more cohesively in the coming year and proof that the user group is needed.

Hopeful Anticipation for 2024:

As we turn the page to 2024, let's carry forward the lessons learned and the successes celebrated. We are optimistic that, with renewed energy and a collective commitment, we will overcome obstacles and create an even more impactful and connected Wikimedians for Sustainable Development community.

Here's to a year of collaboration, growth, and making a lasting impact on the world through our shared passion for sustainability. Together, we can turn challenges into opportunities and pave the way for a brighter future.

  • Upcoming meeting: on 9 February, we'll have a call about roles and responsibilities in the user group. This is an attempt to make more opportunities to engage more of the user groups members in its activities. If you want to help out in some way, but don't know how, this is a meeting for you to get help creating that opportunity. If you know how you would like to help, but don't know how to get started, this is also the meeting for you.
