वैज्ञानिक प्रजातिवाद, जिसे कभी-कभी जैविक नस्लवाद भी कहा जाता है, एक छद्मवैज्ञानिक विचारधारा है। इसके अनुसार मानव प्रजाति को जैविक रूप से पृथक और स्थायी समूहों, अर्थात् तथाकथित “नस्लों”, में विभाजित किया जा सकता है[1][2][3] तथा इन समूहों के बीच बुद्धिमत्ता, व्यक्तित्व, नैतिकता या अन्य मानसिक एवं शारीरिक गुणों में जन्मजात श्रेष्ठता अथवा हीनता के वैज्ञानिक प्रमाण उपलब्ध हैं। इस विचारधारा का उपयोग ऐतिहासिक रूप से नस्लीय भेदभाव, नस्लीय श्रेष्ठता और नस्लीय हीनता जैसी अवधारणाओं को उचित ठहराने के लिए किया गया।[4][5][6][7]
बीसवीं शताब्दी के मध्य तक वैज्ञानिक समुदाय के कुछ वर्गों में इन धारणाओं को व्यापक स्वीकृति प्राप्त थी, किंतु बाद के दशकों में आनुवंशिकी, मानवविज्ञान, विकासवादी जीवविज्ञान और जनसंख्या विज्ञान में हुए अनुसंधानों ने इन दावों को असत्य सिद्ध कर दिया। आधुनिक वैज्ञानिक प्रमाण यह दर्शाते हैं कि मानवों के बीच आनुवंशिक विविधता निरंतर और परस्पर मिश्रित है तथा उसे स्पष्ट, पृथक और जैविक रूप से निश्चित “नस्लों” में विभाजित नहीं किया जा सकता। इस कारण वैज्ञानिक प्रजातिवाद के मूल दावों को आज वैज्ञानिक आधार प्राप्त नहीं है।[5][6]
वैज्ञानिक प्रजातिवाद के समर्थक मानव समूहों को विशिष्ट शारीरिक, बौद्धिक या व्यवहारगत विशेषताओं से जोड़ने का प्रयास करते रहे हैं। इन विचारों को विभिन्न संदर्भों में नस्लवाद, नस्लीय यथार्थवाद, नस्ल यथार्थवाद अथवा नस्ल-विज्ञान जैसे नामों से भी संबोधित किया गया है। तथापि, आधुनिक वैज्ञानिक सर्वसम्मति यह मानती है कि ऐसे दावे वर्तमान आनुवंशिक अनुसंधान, मानव विकास तथा मानव जैविक विविधता की स्थापित वैज्ञानिक समझ के अनुरूप नहीं हैं। इसी कारण आज वैज्ञानिक प्रजातिवाद को छद्मविज्ञान माना जाता है और इसे वैज्ञानिक समुदाय द्वारा व्यापक रूप से अस्वीकार किया जाता है।[8]
