अगर आप पहले से न जानते हो तो, कोई भी विकिपीडिया के लेखों को बदल सकता है। इस लिये अगर आपको कुछ भी सुधारना हो या नया जोडना हो, तो लेख के साथ दिए गए "बदलें" टैब (बटन) को क्लिक करें (बहुत कम पन्ने सुरक्षित है) ।

किसी सदस्य से किसी लेख के बारे में बात करने के लिये, सदस्य के वार्ता पन्ने का उपयोग करें (http://hi.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:सदस्य का नाम) या फ़िर उनके सदस्य पन्ने से आप उनको ई-मेल भी कर सकते हैं। किसी लेख के किस भाग को किसने लिखा है, यह देखने के लिये आप उस पन्ने का इतिहास देख सकते हैं ।

विकिपीडिया के बारे में सवाल या फ़रियाद करने के लिये चौपाल का उपयोग करें। जो प्रश्न वहाँ पर रखने योग्य न हो, उन्हे वहाँ से निकाल कर कहीं और रख दिया जायेगा ।

संपादन से अवरुद्ध किया जाना

कभी-कभी यह आवश्यक हो जाता है कि किसी आईपी पते पर अवरुद्ध लगाया जाए जिसे एक बर्बरतापूर्ण व्यक्ति प्रयोग कर रहा हो (ऊपर देखें) । कम ही, शायद, उस बर्बरतापूर्ण व्यक्ति का वही पता हो सकता है जो की एक विकिपेडिया संपादक का भी हो ।

Removal of adminship

At most levels of user access, the decision to grant is made through community consensus. Local to the English Wikipedia, administrators and bureaucrats are selected by the community by requests for adminship, are expected to be "known and trusted member[s] of the community" before they are promoted. In some cases the subsequent behavior of the editor after being promoted may cause them to lose that trust.

For severe or acute abuse of administrator privileges, an administrator's powers can be removed. Administrators may be removed either at the request of Jimmy Wales or by a ruling of the Arbitration Committee. At their discretion, lesser penalties may also be assessed against problematic administrators, including the restriction of their use of certain powers or placement on administrative probation. The technical ability to remove administrator status rests with stewards.

There have been alternative procedures suggested for the removal of sysop status, but none of them have achieved consensus. Some administrators will voluntarily stand for reconfirmation under certain circumstances; see Category:Wikipedia administrators open to recall. Users may use the dispute resolution to request comment on an administrator's suitability.

Technical note—removal of rights does not currently show up in the usual user logs. Use username (current rights · rights log (local) · rights log (global/meta) · block log) for full links to user rights information and full logs, including the stewards' global logs on meta as well, or Special:Listusers to verify a users' current rights.
