समस्याएँ

नारायम के प्रयोग से कुछ समस्याएँ आ रही हैं और मुझे पता है कि यह इसमें डिफोल्ट होंगी। उदहारण के लिए अगर आपने इनपुट विधि सक्षम कर रखी है तो आप टिल्ड को टाइप ही नहीं कर सकते, आपको यह दिखेगा: ््््, अब अगर मुझे हस्ताक्षर करना है तो मुझे पहले नारायम अक्षम करना पड़ता है। दूसरा, चूँकि मैं बहारी टूल का प्रयोग करता हूँ, मैं "सारांश" बोक्स में चेकबॉक्स सक्षम नहीं रखता था (मैं सारांश समान्यतः हिन्दी में नहीं लिखता), अब मुझे पहले नारायम को अक्षम करना पड़ता है उसके बाद मैं सारांश लिख पाता हूँ, चूँकि सभी जगह के लिए एक ही चेकबॉक्स बन गया है। मैं जानता हूँ कि अपनी व्यक्तिगत परेशानियों को बताना ठीक नहीं है परन्तु इससे मुझे हिन्दी विकिपीडिया पे काम करने में परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। क्या हम "मेरी वरीयताएँ" में विकल्प नहीं दे सकते कि कहाँ-कहाँ आपको नारायम अक्षम रखना है?<>< Bill william compton^Talk 13:14, 3 अप्रैल 2012 (UTC)

बिल, नारायम को असमर्थ करने का विकल्प मेरी वरीयताए में उपलब्ध है इसको असमर्थ करने के लिये आप मेरी वरीयताएं में जाकर संपादन टैब खोले और फिर " इनपूट पद्धती सक्षम करें" वाले चेक बाक्स को खाली कर दे, नारायम असमर्थ हो जायेगा। शुभकामनाएँ--Mayur ^{(talk•Email)} 13:43, 3 अप्रैल 2012 (UTC)

Bill, since you don't use Narayam for inputting hindi anywhere, I think you can safely turn it off in your preferences as Mayur has suggested (assuming that your offline tool doesn't bar you from entering tildes). Although enabling and disabling Narayam is a matter of Ctrl+M, I do agree that not being able to type tildes without that would pose a minor problem. Any suggestions on improving this are welcome.

Also, Narayam doesn't have an input for ॰ (लाघव चिन्ह), though ideally it should. Any suggestions for how to implement that are welcome too. Regards--सिद्धार्थ घई (वार्ता) 14:50, 3 अप्रैल 2012 (UTC)

Sid, the problem is that for writing purpose, I need default editing tool of interface, although just for poornviram. And since typing out the other Hindi letters manually [with it] is a big pain, I don't use it much. Do you know how to type poornviram with Google Hindi input? Not having poornaviram is probably one of the drawbacks of using Google IME (I haven't found a way in it to input poornaviram yet). I make do with one of two ways, either copy the poornaviram from the text just below the editbox and do a Ctrl + V whenever I need to type one; or (since I use Win 7), I've added other input schemes for hindi to the language bar. A Ctrl + Shift changes the scheme to Devanagari - INSCRIPT or Hindi Traditional, then a Shift + . gives poornaviram. Another Ctrl + Shift brings Google IME back up. Neither of these two methods is very easy.

The documentation for hi transliteration is at वि:नारायम but will be slightly inexact since the patch I submitted hasn't been merged yet.

Also, if you want to change the input from ~ back to tilde (assuming that is the only problem you are facing with Narayam), you could add personal rules through your userscript file as described at mw:Extension:Narayam#User_level_customization. I think the userscript rules are added to the top of the other rules meaning that if you add a rule ['//~','','//~'], it should overrule the halant and give you tildes back.(I haven't checked if this is the exact rule that you need, but it should be something like this)
