Ji. Please see other languages. This was done by mistake I guess. There is another hills named थिरुअन्नामलाई which should not be confused with this. Name of the place is in sources are in Tamil, Malayalam and English languages only. I am giving you the correct spelling in Devanagiri. Please see other language article of the same page. Tamil098 ji, please provide some reference as a link. Also, I believe its common spelling in Hindi sources is अन्नामलाई and widely used in books and other available literature. This refers to en:Annamalai (Hill) for which Hindi page doesn't exist at all. This is the most famous city and Arunachalesswar temple is located here and all hindi sources you are siting is refering to this one. Even Hindi devotional songs may correspond to this.
Tamil098 ji, this page is about en:Anaimalai Hills. I am just telling you that Anaimalai Hills is transliterated commonly in Hindi as अन्नामलाई or अनाईमलाई (you can search google, even in book search mode). This may be incorrect but this spelling is the most common and searched for. If you provide some reliable surece that the spelling suggested by you, i.e. आनैमलाई, is the correct transliteration, then we can add this spelling in our lead section with that reference. एसएम जी, मेरा मानना है कि दूसरी भाषा के शब्दों को जब अपनी भाषा में लिखें तो उसके उच्चारण के आधार पर उसकी वर्तनी तय करनी चाहिये। चूंकि यह स्थान इतन उल्लेखनीय नहीं है इसलिये हो सकता है कि हिंदी में इसके ज्यादा संदर्भ ना मिलें लेकिन कोई भी तमिल भाषा का जानकार अगर इसे अन्नै या आन्नै कहता है तो मैं उसके उच्चारण को अपनी हिंदी वर्तनी का आधार बनाउंगा। जैसे कि Chatterjee को कुछ लोग चैटर्जी और कुछ अन्य लोग चटर्जी कहते हैं लेकिन बंगाली लोग चटर्जी ही कहते हैं, इसलिये शायद हिन्दी में भी इसे चटर्जी ही ज्यादा कहा और लिखा जाता है क्योंकि मूल भाषा में यही है। संभवत: यही तर्क यहाँ भी लगा सकते हैं।--चंद्र शेखर/Shekhar13:57, 17 नवम्बर 2021 (UTC)[उत्तर दें]
