मनुष्यों की आनुवंशिकी (यानि जॅनॅटिक्स) में मातृवंश समूह ऍन या माइटोकांड्रिया-डी॰एन॰ए॰ हैपलोग्रुप N एक मातृवंश समूह है। इस मातृवंश समूह और मातृवंश समूह ऍम ने मानव इतिहास में बहुत बड़ा किरदार अदा किया है क्योंकि अफ़्रीका के बहार जितने भी मानव हैं वे इन दोनों या इनकी उपशाखाओं के वंशज हैं। मातृवंश समूह ऍन और मातृवंश समूह ऍम मातृवंश समूह ऍल३ की दो उपशाखाएँ हैं। माना जाता है के जब मनुष्य अफ़्रीका के अपने जन्मस्थल से पहली बार निकले तो जो महिला या महिलाएँ अफ़्रीका से बाहर निकलीं वे इसी मातृवंश समूह ऍल३ की वंशज थी। मातृवंश समूह ऍन की उपशाखाएँ विश्व भर में मिलती हैं लेकिन उप-सहारा अफ़्रीका में बहुत कम संख्या में मिलती है। वैज्ञानिकों का अंदाज़ा है के अफ़्रीका में जो इस मातृवंश के लोग हैं उनके पूर्वज यूरेशिया से अफ़्रीका आये थे। इसकी मातृवंश समूह ऍन५ उपशाखा ज़्यादातर भारतीय महाद्वीप में ही मिलती है।[1]

अनुमान है के जिस स्त्री से यह मातृवंश शुरू हुआ वह आज से लगभग ७१,००० वर्ष पहले एशिया या पूर्वी अफ़्रीका की निवासी थी।[2][3][4][5][6]

अंग्रेज़ी में "वंश समूह" को "हैपलोग्रुप" (haplogroup), "पितृवंश समूह" को "वाए क्रोमोज़ोम हैपलोग्रुप" (Y-chromosome haplogroup) और "मातृवंश समूह" को "एम॰टी॰डी॰एन॰ए॰ हैपलोग्रुप" (mtDNA haplogroup) कहते हैं।
