1837–1838 का आगरा अकाल[2] याचौरानवी कंपनी शासित भारत के नव - स्थापित उत्तर-पश्चिमी प्रांतों (पूर्व में सीडेड और विजय प्राप्त प्रांतों ) में पड़ने वाला एक अकाल था, जिसने 25,000 वर्ग मील (65,000 कि॰मी2) क्षेत्र और 80 लाख लोगों की आबादी को प्रभावित किया था।[3] केंद्रीय दोआब (वर्तमान में उत्तर प्रदेश) — के जिलों के क्षेत्र कानपुर, इटावा, मैनपुरी, आगरा और कालपी — में अकाल सबसे भीषण था। इसके अलावा यमुना नदी के नज़दीकी कुछ जिलों, जैसे जालौन, हमीरपुर और बांदा को भी गम्भीर संकट का सामना करना पड़ा।

1838 के अंत तक, लगभग 8,00,000 लोग भुखमरी से मारे जा चुके, जबकि मृत पशुधन की एक संख्या और भी थी। [3] अकाल को लोक स्मृति में चौरानवी कहा जाता है, क्योंकि ईस्वी वर्ष 1838 संवत (पंचांग) के वर्ष 1894 से मेल खाता है। [4]
