अल्फ़ा स्कूटाए (Alpha Scuti) या α स्कूटाए (α Sct) स्कूटम तारामंडल का सबसे रोशन तारा है। इसका सापेक्ष कांतिमान +3.83 और निरपेक्ष कांतिमान −0.08 है। इसे बिना दूरबीन के कठिनाई से देखा जा सकता है। यह हमारे सूरज से लगभग 199 प्रकाशवर्ष दूर स्थित है।[6]
गुण
[संपादित करें]अल्फ़ा स्कूटाए एक नारंगी रंग का K3 III श्रेणी का दानव तारा है। सूरज के द्रव्यमान की तुलना में इसका द्रव्यमान 1.33 गुना है, लेकिन यह फूलकर फैल गया है और सूरज की त्रिज्या की 20 गुना त्रिज्या रखता है।
