अलीन लोग

अलीन बृहत भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप के पश्चिमोत्तर भाग में बसने वाले आर्य समुदाय का एक क़बीला था। इनका वर्णन ऋग्वेद ७:१८:७ में मिलता है। ऋग्वेद के सातवे मंडल में वे पुरुओं द्वारा स्थापित उस मित्रपक्ष में थे जिन्होने दस राजाओं के युद्ध (दशराज्ञ युद्ध) में भारत क़बीले के राजा सुदास से जंग की थी जिसमें पुरुओं की हार हुई थी। अलीन लोग शायद आधुनिक अफ़ग़ानिस्तान के नूरिस्तान क्षेत्र से पूर्वोत्तर में रहते थे क्योंकि चीनी तीर्थयात्री हुएन त्सांग ने उस जगह पर इनकी गृहभूमि होने का उल्लेख किया था।[1][2][3][4][5]
