सेलेस्टीन

सेलेस्टीन (celestine), जिसे सेलेस्टाइट (celestite) भी कहते हैं, स्ट्रोन्शियम सल्फेट (Sr S O₄) से युक्त एक खनिज है। 'सेलेस्टियल' शब्द का अर्थ लातिनी व अंग्रेज़ी भाषाओं में 'आकाशीय' है और इस खनिज के पत्थरों के अक्सर नाज़ुक नीले रंग के कारण इसे 'सेलेस्टीन' का नाम दिया गया था।^[1]
