मुक्त ज्ञानकोष विकिपीडिया से
किसी लिपि के किस-किस प्रतीक-चिन्ह (वर्ण, अल्फाबेट आदि) को एक क्रम में लिखकर कोई शब्द निरूपित किया जाता है वही उसकी वर्तनी (spelling) कहलाती है।
