खत्री

खत्री (کھتری, Khatri) भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप के पश्चिमोत्तरी भाग में बसने वाली एक जाति है। मूल रूप से ज़्यादातर खत्री पंजाब से हुआ करते थे लेकिन वह अब राजस्थान, जम्मू व कश्मीर, उत्तराखंड, उत्तर प्रदेश, हिमाचल प्रदेश, हरयाणा, बलोचिस्तान, सिंध और ख़ैबर-पख़्तूनख़्वा के इलाक़ों में भी पाए जाते हैं। खत्री मुस्लिम, सिख और हिन्दू तीनों धार्मिक समुदायों में मिलते हैं। ऐतिहासिक रूप से सभी सिख धर्म के गुरु खत्री थे।[1]
