His elder father was Saint Pandit Yamuna Tiwari Ji Maharaj and elder mother was Lalpari Devi. His maternal grandfather was freedom fighter Pt. Laxman Tiwari Mathiyavrit, Chhodadano, East Champaran.

Amarendra Tiwari's sisters are Gayatri Pandey (former Municipal Councilor, Raxaul) and Savita Tiwari (Delhi). His brothers are Acharya Pandit Sanjay Tiwari and Engineer Dharmendra Tiwari. Her revered aunts are Dhanvantari Devi, Urmila Devi, and Neela Devi.

Amrendra Tiwari began his journalism career in 1996 from Adapur block in East Champaran district on the India-Nepal border. He reported for the newspaper "Prabhat Khabar" and later worked for "Aaj Hindi Daily" from 1998 to 2000 in the district headquarters of East Champaran. From 2000 to 2001, he worked at "Aaj" in Patna, gaining experience in desk work.
